The Blue Buddha shows a different perspective of life. Tibetan Buddhism is different from it’s traditional form by it brightly coloured extravagant art and rituals. They have five main colors that are known as pancha-varna in Sanskrit, which means βThe Five Pure Lights β. Each colour has a different meaning. Blue colour represents purity and healing. This inspired me to create this painting.
The blue colour in my painting, symbolizes calmness, peace, vastness and wisdom. It is believed that, when meditating on this color, anger can be transformed into wisdom.
I hope that this Vesak day brings us peace, good health and helps us overcome the obstacle that the whole world is facing.
